The Bachelor of Agriculture in Soil Science program I ran in University of Nigeria Nsukka is a rather challenging one but quite rewarding.
I enjoyed the 6 months industrial training package of the program which entailed working in various Agriculture units including a field trip.
It prepared me for a whole lot that today, I can easily fit in into any agricultural ministry. A good percentage of Lecturers in the faculty are quite friendly except for an ignoble few.
Also, Cost of living is quite affordable in the university vicinity and there are shuttles for easy navigation around campus.
Cons: The university is in the countryside and it might not be a good opt if you love city life.
There’s no incentive for the industrial training and you have to struggle to market your produce.
