The BME program at UNN is solid theoretically, lecturers explain things well. But practically, I can boldly say we don’t have any equipment. We only know these equipments and what they can do because we’ve seen them, not because we’ve used them. The department really needs to invest more in lab equipment.
View moreI really enjoy some of my lectures and my course as a Biomedical Engineering student at UNN, the academic side has been solid. But campus life, especially the hostel, isn’t great. Water supply is low and security on the grounds isn’t as tight as it should be.
The school fees are also a big issue. They were increased this session, and for an average student, it’s been a lot to handle. I know many students have really struggled with it.
I’d also say lecturers could be more intentional about their students more genuine engagement would go a long way.
Overall, the courses are worth it, but the school needs to do better with hostel conditions, security, fees, and student-lecturer engagement.
