I attend a university where medical courses are taking longer than expected to complete. This has affected many students, including me, as we miss out on opportunities while waiting for the school to get accreditation and allow us to take our professional exams.
My advice is that the school should know its capacity and balance admissions with available resources. Over-admission and lack of facilities have contributed to the challenges we’re facing. The school should improve accreditation, facilities, and equipment to enable students to graduate and pursue their careers.
View moreOverall my experience in Ambrose Alli University was very fun with hints of sadness.
I got admitted into the university to study medicine but due to the fact that the department over admitted students so we were way above our quota, so they had to withdraw some students
I was part of the students withdrawn, it was a difficult time but I over came it
I then transferred to Human Nutrition and Dietetics. I graduated from that department . It took prayers and determination to motivate myself to keep pushing and keep going.
The department I transferred too was better cause I had a passion for it so it was easy to be involved and participating.
I’m actually grateful for being withdrawn cause that was the first time I failed an exam in my whole life. It made me learn and grow since then. Sometimes failures are put in place to ignite growth. And I have grown.
So the school system is flawed and slow especially in medical courses.
But the current vice chancellor is working hand in hand with the edo state government to change that, I hope it all goes well.
So if you are struggling with failure, it’s just temporary greater things are coming
View moreThe campus life was amazing and full of experience, I was the PRO for my department in my year 3 though, I really didn’t like the fact it was really rough in terms of the cultism and fraud level, I loved the fact that, it was a learnable environment and the students were supportive of each other. I’d advise if you want to attend this school, please have lot of money.
View moreI studied at Ambrose Aili University Ekpoma, Edo state, Nigeria.
My discipline was crop science and agricultural biotechnology
My opinion about the school is that transportation in the school environment is too expensive, some departments in the school need adequate funding for the conductiveness of the students.
My dislike about the school is that, they charge for almost everything you need in school, tools aren’t provided learning, some departments don’t go for Industrial training.
I won’t recommend the school.
I think the school is good for sound academic learning. What I like most about the school is that lecturers are always available to impact knowledge. And what I really disliked was the fact that changing teller into receipt takes time. I will strongly recommend for all intending students.
View moreThe University is best in some courses but also very weak in others. I would recommend it for courses like Law and Mechanical Engineering, however, I wouldn’t recommend it for courses like Anatomy, nursing or Medicine
View moreAmbrose Alli University has been grossly unfair to those studying science related courses. The academic calendar is so slow. I expected to spend six(6) years for Medicine and Surgery program but I’m still stuck in my 4th year after seven (7) years in the system.
View moreMy honest opinion about Ambrose Alli university is that the educational sector is very good when it comes to teaching and what I don’t like precisely is that as medical students we lack facilities i.e fully equipped laboratories, etc.
