I am currently a student at delta state university(delsu)my experience so far has been challenging but valuable. The school offers a strong academic program,supportive teachers(atleast most of them), and a good environment for learning. The lecturers are knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to provide help when needed. The school environment is clean and spacious, with enough space for sports and extracurricular activities. Overall, DELSU is a great place to study. It balances academics with extracurricular activities, and I would recommend it to any student who is serious about learning in a supportive environment

In my opinion, Delta State University, Abraka is a standard academic institution, with potential to grow exponentially. Her MOTTO; Knowledge, Character and Service, it’s a testament to the University’s commitment to produce sound minded individuals who are well abreast of both academic and core moral principles. I have no regrets being a member of the community, however, I’d advise you come with an open mind, and be ready the meet a variety of individuals with different belief systems; which in my opinion, helps you to see life from a different perspective, one outside your usual comfort zone. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND.

Most students in Delta state university-Delsu,tend to focus more on passing their examinations rather than gaining explicit and indisputable knowledge in the course.
A lot of distractions ravage the instruction.

My opinion on Delta State University:
In one word, I would describe Delta State University as challenging. This is not meant to undermine the reputation of the institution but rather to highlight that it pushes students to their limits. No matter your background, the university will test your resilience and endurance, often showing you your personal breaking points. The rigorous academic and social environment forces you to confront your limits, and this can be both uncomfortable and transformative.

What I Like:
What I truly appreciate about Delta State University is that it pushes you to grow in ways you might not expect. The learning experience is rigorous, and it provides an environment where students can truly test their potential. It helped me develop a stronger sense of discipline, perseverance, and self-reliance. There is a sense of camaraderie among students, and the faculty, though sometimes strict, are dedicated to ensuring students understand the material deeply.

What I Dislike:
However, this challenging environment can sometimes feel overwhelming. The school can be tough, and there are moments when it feels like it lacks the supportive, nurturing environment that many students need to thrive. The academic pressure can sometimes feel isolating, and the lack of consistent support from certain departments or faculty members can make it difficult for students to fully benefit from the resources available.

Recommendation:
I would recommend that the university focus on creating more avenues for student support, whether academic or emotional, to help students manage the pressures that come with the rigorous environment. Creating more channels for feedback, improving communication between students and administration, and offering more counseling and peer support programs would help ease the challenges students face. Overall, while the university certainly prepares you for the demands of the real world, a little more nurturing could go a long way in making the experience more balanced and supportive for students.
