I had a wonderful experience studying at the university of calabar, and i would recommed it to students looking for a well-rounded education.The campus is beautiful and calm, with plenty of greenery, which creates an inspiring atmosphere for studying. Being located in calaber, a city with a rich culture heritage, i found the environment both vibrant and welcoming. My time at the university has a mix of high and lows. While there are definitely some positives, there are several areas where i think the university could improve.
What really stood out for me at the university
Classes :The courses at UNICAL were diverse, engaging, and offered a good balance of theory and practical application.A few things that stood out in the classroom experience.
Interactive Learning and academic rigor.
My likes:
Acadamic Quality:The university offers diverse range of programms, and the teaching quality is generally strong.
Location, Calaber is a great city, known for its beauty and history.The university is situated in a very safe and calm environment.
Affordability: Tuition fees are quite affordable, and the cost of livng is generally low.
Dislikes :
Administrative delays:Registration for course and access to results often takes longer than it should. I encountered several delays when trying to get my results and other documents. This made navigating the administrative side of things unnecessarily.
Hostel life: The on-campus accommodation is overcrowded and not very well maintained.

I’d recommend UNICAL to students who are looking for an affordable education in a peaceful environment. However, if you’re someone who prioritizes mordern facilities, quick administrative processes, you might want to consider other options.Overall, it’s a decent university, but there are definitely areas for improvement.
