Uniben is a great school. Though It has its own setbacks and bad side, overall it is a very good school. I myself will prefer Uniben to some private schools. A lot of opportunities are open to Uniben students, in all areas. But coming to the academic aspect, there’s really no positive remark to leave. Only few lecturers actually cover their scheme, some classrooms are not worthy to classrooms, some lab equipments are faulty and so on. But it’s something you can coped with if you employ the right strategies.
View moreMy overall opinion is that Uniben is a good school. But It has its good side and bad side. On the good side, based on the fact that Uniben is a very large school and it has some good reputation, a lot of opportunities are open to the students, both during and after school. A lot of programmes, seminars, scholarship, and networking opportunities are open to Uniben students. Not leaving aside sport activities, competitions, and so on. Well, these are for people who are not just focused on book book book. For this kind of people, they are the ones that don’t really enjoy the school. This is because the academic aspect is not solid. Some classrooms are not up to standard, lab equipments not working, lecturers not coming to class or providing quality teaching, electricity issues and so on. Uniben will stress you to be honest but then your stay can also be enjoyable when you mix things up a bit but try and strike a balance.
View moreMy experience at the University of Benin was both challenging and rewarding. As a Production Engineering student, I benefited from a rigorous academic curriculum and access to experienced faculty who were always willing to support students. The institution also provided opportunities to engage in practical projects, such as the design and fabrication of a stir casting machine, which deepened my understanding of engineering principles.
While the university offered a strong foundation for academic and professional growth, there were areas for improvement, such as infrastructure upgrades and better access to modern learning resources. Despite these challenges, the experience instilled in me resilience, critical thinking, and a passion for problem-solving.
Overall, the University of Benin played a pivotal role in shaping my career and provided a platform to develop skills that continue to benefit me in the professional world.
