Assessing the Academic and Infrastructure Development at Ekiti State University Strong academics, memorable lecturers, and a lively student body all contributed to the formation of my time at Ekiti State University (EKSU). Academically, I had the honor of studying under outstanding instructors like Dr. Agubiade, who consistently challenged us to think critically, and Dr. Ohunayo Success, whose method of instruction was thorough and captivating. Professor Ademiluyi was equally noteworthy for his breadth of expertise and mentoring. In addition to their knowledge, these lecturers were notable for their sincere interest in the growth of their students. It was much more satisfying to navigate the difficulties of a public university with their help. The university is gradually improving its infrastructure, but there is still opportunity for improvement. The library is a useful resource.resource, but students would gain a lot from more digital updates. The quality of lecture halls varies; some are cozy and well-furnished, while others suffer from issues like poor ventilation, crowded spaces, and unstable power supplies. Many students still struggle because hostels and nearby lodging can be pricey and occasionally lack reliable utilities. The active student body at EKSU was one of the highlights of my stay there. Under Emeritus President Oyeleye Israel’s leadership, the student union was especially active, planning significant events and encouraging a strong sense of camaraderie among students. Beyond academics, campus life offered chances for personal development through cultural events and student-led projects. In conclusion, Ekiti State University provides a stimulating campus culture, motivational instructors, and a worthwhile educational experience. Although administrative and infrastructure issuesexist, the caliber of instruction and the commitment of specific faculty and student leaders are particularly noteworthy as distinguishing features. EKSU has the capacity to become even more prominent in Nigeria with sustained stability and investment.

EKSU fosters intellectual growth, critical thinking, and discipline, while also encouraging students to explore research and practical applications of their studies. My time at EKSU equipped me with the skills and confidence to contribute meaningfully in professional settings.
View moreBeing a student of my school opened my eyes to a lot of things, in 100l we had a course we do at 7am, once it’s 7am they close the lecture hall, that particular course trained me to be punctual, I learnt a lot in school, my experience in school was a very crazy one but needed experience, concerning academy, we were been taught well. Concerning life, it taught me money management. Especially in Nigeria school shapes the mind of the students.
View moreStudying at Ekiti State University has been a journey of both growth and grit. EKSU isn’t just about academics; it’s a place that pushes you to be strong, resilient, and independent. The university has a reputation for committed lecturers who genuinely care about students’ understanding. Most of my courses were handled by professionals who made sure we learned beyond the four walls of the classroom — touching real-world applications and life lessons.
One thing I really like about EKSU is the calm, distraction-free environment. It’s located in a relatively peaceful part of Nigeria, which makes it easier to focus. The roads are accessible, and there are nearby markets, banks, and basic amenities within reach. The school has also made visible efforts to digitize some processes, and I noticed some improvements in how results and payments are managed compared to when I first got admitted.
That said, not everything is perfect. A few things still need serious attention — especially the administrative side. From sudden fee hikes to delays in result processing, the system can sometimes be frustrating. Also, student accommodation is limited, and many students live off-campus under varying conditions. Lecture schedules can feel rushed, especially during exam periods, which adds unnecessary stress to the academic load.
Would I recommend EKSU? Yes — but with honesty. If you’re looking for a university that will challenge you and help you grow in character and knowledge, EKSU is a solid choice. But come in prepared for the hustle. The system may not hand you everything easily, but it builds strength. It’s not for the weak, but if you’re determined, it will shape you into someone stronger — academically and personally.
View moreStudying Anatomy at Ekiti State University offers a deep dive into the structure and function of the human body, with a curriculum that covers gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy. The program is designed to lay a solid foundation for careers in health sciences, research, or further medical training.
The department is equipped with essential facilities such as dissection labs and microscopy rooms. While there are opportunities for hands-on learning, like cadaver dissections and practicals, some aspects of the program—like research exposure and updated learning materials—could benefit from improvement and modernization.
My Personal Opinion
View moreEkiti state university is a school with good quality in terms of education buh has a poor social life. It is part of the most rated state university in Nigeria. my experience in eksu was quite a lot because each school has his or her own difficulties, nevertheless my school is a great school
View moreEkiti State University is a college, just like many others, filled with several opportunities and adventures. It takes you through a learning process which can be demanding in some aspect, such as the time for lectures, the high number of students per class which can be termed as overpopulation. Admits all the struggle, with resilience and determination, one would emerge in flying colours.
View moreThis is a citadel of learning. It’s a place where the best in you can be pushed out.
The university management since my time has sought to get more National University Commission accredited courses. But like Oliver Twist, we always want more because the school deserves more.
View moreEkiti State University (EKSU) is a university with immense potential, but it appears like its administrative structure is stuck in a slow, frustrating rut all the time. The university offers a variety of academic programs and a committed faculty, but administrative inefficiency undermines the learning environment as a whole.
The excruciatingly poor response time of EKSU’s administrative system is one of its most obvious problems. Students, instructors, and staff frequently have to wait a long time for responses to their questions or for their problems to be taken care of. People feel helpless and upset when simple administrative activities, such processing academic records, application approvals, or student registrations, take an excessive length of time. This sluggishness can negatively impact students’ academic careers and seriously impair the university’s ability to run smoothly.
View moreEkiti State University is one of the best ever university when it comes to academy standard, they are outstanding… There course curriculum is very standard, I will surely recommend them. Thanks for building me and imparting me with this kind of knowledge.
