The Technological University of San Juan of the River, is a Higher Education Institution that offers university degrees to be closely linked with the productive sector to that in the short term to be incorporated in the professional work.

Offers the following careers of top-level (5TH on the classification of UNESCO):

Engineering in Industrial Maintenance.
Engineering in Production Systems.
Engineering in Mechatronics.
Engineering in Business and Business Management.
Chemical Engineering.
Engineering in Information Technology.
Engineering in Renewable Energy.
Engineering in Construction.

Awards obtained by the UTSJR

– State award for Export of the State of Querétaro 2002 and 2007. On two occasions, the Technological University of San Juan of the River has been awarded the State Prize of Export in the category of educational institutions, to promote the export culture in their students through activities that will promote the foreign trade.

-National prize for Export 2007. In the Framework of the XIV Congress of the Foreign Trade Mexican “Foreign Trade: Competitiveness and Global Development”, organized by the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology, the UTSJR received this recognition from the hands of the President of the Republic, Lic Felipe Calderon Hinojosa.

– State prize of Quality of the State of Querétaro in 2007. To obtain the State Prize of Quality of the State of Querétaro 2007, in its THIRTEENTH edition, the UTSJR became the first institution of higher education in the state that receives it in the category of Public Sector enterprises.

– National award for Quality 2008. The UTSJR received the National Award for Quality 2008, from the hands of the president of the Republic Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, which makes it the first institution of higher education of the State of Querétaro in obtaining such recognition, and in terms of in the history of the National Award for Quality only 4 higher education institutions of the country have been obtained.

-For four consecutive years, the SEP has delivered to the UTSJR of a recognition by an institution that provides educational programs recognized for their good quality category obtained based on rigorous evaluations and external credentials.

Infrastructure and facilities
At present the institution has the following buildings:

4 teaching buildings with 17 or 18 classrooms each, administrative area, computer labs (2 per building), exhibition hall, language laboratory and teacher’s cubicles.
3 laboratory buildings with 6 laboratories each, teachers’ cubicles.
1 information center (library, training room, Internet room).
1 coffee shop.
1 building of Linkage (offices, hall magna, 2 meeting rooms and area for exhibitions and events).
1 gym-auditorium.
1 building-media laboratory.
1 soccer field (football).
1 cubicle building of Professors (Division of Mechatronics and TICS) and of computer laboratories in the Upper Plant; and on the ground floor are also cubicles for teachers and a multimedia lab of English-
