at DMI St John the Baptist University - DMISJBU

The main campus of the University is located in Mangochi district, Malawi, Southern Africa. Near a mountain and close to a fishing village as it is very close to Lake Malombe, providing one of the best views. It is also a few minutes away from some of Africa’s renowned UNESCO World heritage sites such as the Lake Malawi National Park as well as Liwonde national park. The university has excellent global facilities and diverse staff from all over the world. It is truly an international University that is also found in many parts of the world such as India, Tanzania and Zambia. If you would like to experience Africa in all its depth, then DMISJBU is the right place for you. You will experience the culture of the surrounding villages in all their breadth. You will also be required to develop strategies and initiatives for addressing some of the challenges faced by the surrounding villages as part of your credit hours.

However, if you prefer a town setup, then DMISJBU, Mangochi campus isn’t the right place for you. In addition, the university has strict rules and a code of conduct that must be followed in the letter. For example, formal dressing is to be adopted at all times during lectures. This is quite prohibitive and the university needs a complete overhaul on this.
