I am currently a student in Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), in my 2nd/3rd year of bachelor studies. And so far I am very satisfied with my university in pretty much every way. I am studying here Software Engineering, and the university is known to be one of the best places in Lithuania for these studies. Having already completed 2 years, I can say that I’m very happy with my university choice.

– At least for my studies program (Software Engineering), studies are based a lot on practical work (rather than only theory lectures), which I value a lot.
– Informatics faculty is very well equipped: many computer classes, there is never a lack of computers. All computers have all the necessary software installed.
– As far as I know, there are also many labs in other faculties (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical faculty, Civil Engineering) with modern equipment. Students have opportunities to use all those labs by themselves for additional research if they wish to do so.
– University provides support for students wishing to start their business. For example, some get free office in one of the dorms.
– Professors, as much as I experienced personally, are usually helpful and friendly, working really hard to make studies as good as possible. You can always contact one of the professors if you want advice, whether is it about your studies, your research work, your business, or anything else.
– Accommodation/dormitories: could be better, but overall they’re not bad. There are a few newly renovated dorms.
– Lots of international students.
– Many student organisations.
– Overall student life in Kaunas: I’d rate it as amazing.

Overall, I’m really happy with my university in pretty much all aspects, I can see that students are really being cared for in here.

I like that we have more of hands-on classes than theory classes. Also the classrooms are very new and well designed.
The new library is a perfect place to study in. It is inspiring and motivating. And there is even a little kitchen 🙂

Great university with a lot of opportunities. Most of subjects strongly related to the specialty. Lecturers and professors are professionals and explain the material clearly. Many events organized to enjoy student life. Modern campus and dormitories are comfortable to be in.

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) stands as one of the best higher education institutions in Lithuania. Despite an amazing infrastructure of the university’s facilities, it can also offer a plenty of programs in different kinds of fields. KTU is also attractive by its additional programs such as SKILLed, GIFTed, WANTed and etc. There is no program that at least one student does not want, so everyone will find his or her place. Each faculty has their field experts which help students reach their goals or even create something new. I strongly recommend this university, because it gave me a lot of opportunities that I have never imagined before.

My opinion about this university is definitely positive, there are some flaws, some old-school lecturers who are too self-centered but the situation is moving to the right direction because of good decisions of the board. I would say that the exams are distributed properly to not burden students. I am happy with my study program (software systems) and think that I get all the information I want and all the room for improvement.

My time at Kaunas University of Technology has been nothing short of transformative. From the state-of-the-art facilities to the dedicated faculty, every aspect of the university reflects a commitment to excellence.

One of the highlights of my experience was the opportunity to collaborate on research projects. This not only enhanced my practical skills but also introduced me to a network of professionals in my field. The campus is vibrant, with numerous events, workshops, and clubs that cater to a variety of interests

I am very satisfied with KTU. I would advise others also this university if they wish to get a degree in IT. University’s management is very professional. The University itself is located in a perfect place to study in.

The university is good. It puts, however, too much pressure with its deadlines and teaching methodology of teachers is quite old. Overall I like that university and would recommend others to come and study here.
