The university was great, I learnt a lot and I grew in a lot of spheres. I learned how to leverage data to solve problems in the world using machine learning and artificial intelligence. The university creates a conducive environment by hosting hackathons and sessions with potential employers to prepare students for the outside world.

The University of Nairobi is a world class university committed to scholarly excellence (Not my words but the exact definition of the institution) This even though often used in jest among people that have gone through the institution is in all senses true.

Strategically located in the busy capital, the University primarily brings students from different parts of the country and abroad, ensuring a rich cultural diversity and subsequent cross-cultural exchanges that are most useful for wholesome human growth. The institution has an unmatched reputation for research and libraries that are well stocked with literature and perfectly designed for study. This means enough human and material resource for one to grow their academic muscle.

The one thing however I almost learnt late from the University is that higher education is almost 90 percent personal initiative and 10 percent external push. What this means is that the professors only whet your appetite for knowledge and leave you to go satisfy it. The good thing is that resources to achieve this are available in plenty.

There are numerous groups one can join from sports clubs to student associations to scholar panels. It goes without saying thus the University affords the student the opportunity to build meaningful networks, access world class education and at the same time enjoy life to the fullest, but there is a catch, 99 percent of the time, no body will tell you this:) You’ve gotta take initiative.

The best university with quality education and research initiatives. It is student driven with professors who do their best to transfer quality knowledge to their students.I would highly recommend the university

Despite its reputation and status as the best university in Kenya, I found the University of Nairobi to be crowded and lacking in terms of providing a conducive learning environment.
One of the most bothering issue was the overcrowding. The lecture halls were consistently packed with students, making it difficult to concentrate or actively engage in the learning process.

Tops the rankings of all universities in Kenya as one that offers the best education. Ranks highly in terms of accommodation, sports and even the number of distinguished personnel who have passed through its corridors. The university offers the most diverse courses and you can choose from a wide variety of what you want to pursue. There is a high number of international students represented especially its Kenya Science Campus along Ngong Road
