My journey at Kenyatta University has been a transformative experience, both academically and personally. What stood out most to me was the vibrant campus life and quality of teaching in the Computing and Information Science (CIS) department and many other schools and departments in the campus. Many lecturers were not only knowledgeable but also approachable and genuinely invested in students’ success. Courses were well-structured and encouraged critical thinking and practical application, especially in project-based units.

Beyond academics, I had the opportunity to participate in leadership and community-based initiatives, which helped me build confidence, communication skills and a deep sense of responsibility.

While some areas such as administration and accommodation can benefit from improvement, the overall experience has been enriching. I would definitely recommend Kenyatta University to students who are eager to learn, grow and lead.

Generally, university is exciting and at the same time boring. What I liked most about is the way one has to be self driven as it help me on how to manage my time. What is hated about it is how things are run with fixed timetables and no followup from lecturers.

I was a young naive guy from the village with minimal knowledge about the City but my experience was awesome. During my stay at the university, I had an enriching and transformative experience. The academic environment was rigorous yet supportive, with professors who were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in student growth. The curriculum challenged me to think critically and broaden my understanding of various disciplines, while the campus facilities provided an ideal space for learning and collaboration.

I literally love everything about it and would highly recommend it to any student who wanna enroll to further their studies. The University is full of life, the environment is welcoming and also the lecturers are also understanding, last but not least the interaction amongst the students is somewhat mind blowing.

The was good interms of academic and many students from different countries brought in different culture to the institution, The bad thing was some of this cultures were totally misunderstood by some of us in institution.

Welcome to the best university in Kenya, as a student pursuing a course in IT I will say that this has been the best decision I made in opting for this university. There is a continuous strive for excellence from the lecturers and administration hence the quality of education offered is of the highest quality. Kenyatta University has the best infrastructure of any institution of higher learning with an ambient environment conducive to studies, leisure and even outdoor activities. The accommodation in terms of hostels is well adequate and even for those who don’t intend to reside on campus, there are safe neighbourhoods just a stone-throw away from where you can live comfortably. I would highly recommend this university to anyone who wants to study here even from abroad because it also accommodates international students and there is room for student exchange which can be found on the University’s main website.
