There are possibilities for international and Erasmus students because you can study and live in the eternal city without speaking Italian. The university has its Campus and different scholarships. Suppose you want to do sports such as playing tennis, fitness, boxing, or archery. In that case, you can become a member of the university sports centre, and all costs are significantly lower than for ordinary citizens.
I wanted to study Marketing, which is what I love in my program because we had three different marketing subjects.
The university was nice, with nice buildings and teachers. I loved the semester I spent in Rome as an Erasmus. Therefore, there are some problems I need to highlight in order to give an honest review. The location of the university is one of them. It is very far from the centre of Rome and it takes some time to get there. Combined with the chaotic schedules of the buses, you must leave your house earlier than you normally would. Finally, the lack of communication between the administration or the teachers and the students is, for me, the biggest issue of Tor Vergata. I received really few emails about the organization of the semester or the exams.
View moreAt this university I am very happy from the point of view of socialization; staff, students and professors are available to talk and clarify concerns, creating a very suggestive learning climate. There are many courses and meetings aimed at career prospects after college.
View moreThis is my first year of university and I was very surprised by the environment and the organization. A big point in favour of Tor Vergata is the place where it is located, in a large open area, with many green spaces where you can be with friends and where you can study. The bar is also very nice and well-stocked. As for the actual faculty, the lessons are very interesting also thanks to the professors, who are very helpful and engaging. The organization of the lessons and the course, in general, is well done and allows students to be able to follow all the lessons easily and to study daily. In general, I am very happy to have made this choice
View moreThe lesson plans are interesting and comprehensive. Tor Vergata offers excellent study plans that allow the full expression of one’s interests and passions. Very good and enjoyable explanations and lessons to follow. The professors are always available for doubts and clarifications. Campus X is excellent for housing.
View moreWell-studied and well-structured programs over the three years, but could improve the organization between professors and different faculties, such as communication with the faculty of economics and law.
View moreI have always wanted to go to economics in turmoil as I like the idea of following the same path as my father. The atmosphere is great, it’s a dynamic place and flat of energy. Of course, the study plan is not a walk in the park and if you think you will pass your exams without studying correctly you are on the wrong path. In any case, the opportunities are really many.
View moreMy university is hard to explain, there are some things that work really well like classes and the programs are really interesting. but there are also problems like, it’s really hard to reach if you don’t have your own car, also the secretariat it’s terrible.
in the end, it’s a good university, I have a good relationship with my professor and my classmates.
It might be too soon to speak about my program since I’m just in my second semester, but so far I am loving it. There are still a few things I would love to see improved since the program is fairly new (only 8 years) and still needs a lot of improvement also because it’s very different from your average bachelor in Italy. The main characteristic I’d say that involves Global governance is the feeling of solidarity and friendship and constant learning. Our director says that mistakes are very important and it’s vital to learn from them. We constantly have conferences on feedback about topics revolving around our major, like teachers, classes, schedule etc, and we tend to communicate all of our concerns and inconveniences. That’s what I love about it, and all of my classmates have a similar point of view on life, and mainly share the same ideologies, which is great, and I’m convinced that I wouldn’t have met my friends from uni in any other major
View moreI remember myself reading, over and over again, the description of the programme on the Tor Vergata website. Living in Rome, surrounded by the most famous and ancient monuments, the aqueducts, the Roman Forum, and breathing history — it was a perfect opportunity for me!
If you, just like me, are interested in antiquities, sightseeing, architecture and Italian culture in general — you will love this programme! The course is very engaging: site visits and presentations are a huge part of the programme. Studying in Art History in Rome programme you will be taught by professors not only from Italy but also from Germany and Great Britain. The programme covers the period from antiquity to the present and gives you a solid background in art.
It is noteworthy, that applying to the programme you need to be sure that you have some experience in art history. Most courses are aimed at people who have basic knowledge of the major artists, movements, and historical events. Knowledge of the Italian language would be an advantage, but you can improve your skills at the university by attending Italian language courses.
