I’d like to start this review saying I’ll write anonymously since I will show many things my colleagues would not talk about just to preserve the university prestige. First of all the practice side of this university does not exist : all is taught with slides and the practical approach is inexistent, then you will study a lot of stuff you will never use in your life and even the basic exel and CAD are not taught since the study program is old and not in line with what the market request. For example chemistry is a compulsory course however you will never study combustion in a detalied way rather you will study stuff like ph and must memorise many formulas just cuz the teacher say so. The classrooms are so overflowed that the relationships with teachers is partically impossible: they cannot humanly deal with so many students and the courses are taught in a aprossimate way forcing us to study too many things and making us lose our passions or even the passion for the subject we are studying.
In addiction the enviroment is rather toxic: people will always judge you aboput what you ask or say during lession , but at least they help you if you need teaching material.
There are some professors who does not even follow university rules and they aren’t fired( they are probably recommended).
I want to end this bloodshed suggesting you to go in another university even if you like this study apoproach since the building we study in are so old that when it rains the floor drops making some of the classroom unavailable. The only word I have fot this kind of university is “rash”.

I’m a student in my bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering.
As I’m attending my courses in the San Giovanni site, not in the principal structure of the University, I can say that the spaces are excellent, nice and new, and the study room is big enough, even though it could be implemented. The main problem, though, is the organization, that most of the time does not take into consideration the needs and problems of its students, especially those who have to commute between different cities and Naples.
The quality of the preparation provided by the Federico II is overall good, what it lacks is first-hand practical experiences. There are many laboratories in my facility that could be used for this purpose.

I am a bachelor degree student of aerospace engineering and in my opinion the Univesuty of Naples “Federico II” is a very great university in particolar for the theorical side. Indeed for practical side it’s a bit lacking as well as for the tecnology.
The University has many laboratories and resources that are not fully exploited.
The professors are extremely competent. Overall I had a good experience.

Overall, the university is excellent.
However, there are some aspects to improve from the point of view of the infrastructures, which lack depth and are not always up to date.
Some courses are unbalanced in terms of distribution of training credits
Where possible, I would add more funds to associations and funds for Erasmus

Talking about the Industrial Engineering department, there are enough facilities with public spaces to study.
Teachers of fluctuating level, but excellent student associations.
Quite full exam sessions and with little free time that should be lightened.

I appreciate everything about the University, despite the fact that some teachers and courses appear to be too unbalanced in the evaluation of training credits.
Despite this, I think it is a very good university.
I would improve where possible the organization and facilities

The university in the complex is quite good, the lectures are of a high level and the professors are qualified. What I do not like is how they approach with student’s associations (who lacks of funds and headquarters) and with the Erasmus program in my faculty (Aerospace Engineering) which has very few scholarships for the students in need.

I would highly recommend this university given the top of the charts preparation you get from it.
One key problem tho, especially in my field, is the lack of hands-on experience. this is damaging since you will have to acquire it yourself.
That being said, the professors are all great experts in their fields and provide great lectures.

Federico II is a university that gives you more than solid training, the theoretical background is immense and guarantees you the foundations for entering any working environment. But as a future engineer I also know that theory accompanied by little practice is not the best. For this reason, I advise you to take any opportunity you have to combine both spheres, such as joining Student Associations, gaining experience abroad and always keeping an eye on the ever-changing world, because no one will tell you that you are missing out on an opportunity.

I’m an aerospace engineering student at Napoli Università “Federico II”. My university is one of the best in this field, indeed the quality of the professors and courses is very high. The main problem with this university is the info point management! It is tough to understand how to solve administration issues! Sometimes the website for students doesn’t work properly.
I’m sorry for this situation because I truly believe that the graduated students at this university are very prepared for professional life and ready to start a good career!
