I’m really enjoying my time at UniMi! The advisors are super helpful and tailored to my needs. The classes are well-organized, and I’m learning a lot. The campus and surrounding area are amazing, and I love the vibe here. What I appreciate most is how responsive the university is to student issues, and the professors are really committed to helping us succeed, they push us to do our best.

My time studying here has been truly remarkable, with professors bringing world-class expertise from around the world. While the pandemic has forced the school to adapt quickly, it has handled the transition impressively. If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be more robust language support to meet the program’s global ambitions.

Studying here was an incredible experience, with a faculty comprising experts from global backgrounds. The pandemic tested the school’s agility, but it rose to the challenge. For me, the only missing piece was more comprehensive language training to complement the program’s international focus.

Studying at the University of Milan has been both rewarding and challenging. The courses are well-designed and many of the professors are engaging and approachable. I have found that while the work is stimulating, it is manageable and professors are open to collaborating with students. I wouldn’t change a thing about this school if I had the chance! The University of Milan is quite diverse as well. As an international student, I feel welcome and included, with many professors and classmates addressing me by my first name

I personally love my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. The various subjects are often interesting, even if obviously all exams cannot be expected to be appreciated by every student. The professors are prepared and very available when you need clarification. Furthermore, I find it very positive that they try in every way to make people passionate about the subject they explain. Among the negative aspects, I must say that, due to the way the degree course is structured, in the first three years the laboratories and exercises are relatively few. For example, I would find it useful for the study of Human Anatomy and suggestive to be able to see real organs and not just plastic models, despite the fact that the latter proposed by the professors are still very detailed and useful and therefore not to be put aside. Furthermore, for the first three years (I am in the second) there is a complete lack of real hospital experiences, but perhaps this is done to stimulate students to acquire solid knowledge preparatory to clinical experience. Finally, the whole area of Città Studi, where there are not only the students of Medicine and Surgery (from the Central Pole, since there were then the Vialba and San Paolo poles separated from mine) but also students of many other scientific faculties (eg Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Earth Sciences), lacks facilities useful to students. First of all, a canteen where you can even just eat the food you have prepared at home, but I must say that libraries are also lacking: there is the BICF, beautiful but with absolutely limited places.

My university is good because it has many choices of study and is divided into several locations throughout Milan. This is an economic university and helps those who have difficulty to pay taxes. On the other hand, I am particularly critical of my degree program as there is a bad organization of the secretariat for the students and the study environments are narrow and neglected.
