Ca’ Foscari University is a cornerstone among economics and accounting universities in Italy. After speaking with many people, I truly believe it is one of the best public universities in the country.
I completed my BSc in Business Administration at Ca’ Foscari, and I am now enrolled in the MSc in Finance at Bocconi.
I really appreciate the strong accounting and economics background that Ca’ Foscari provides its students. On the other hand, however, I feel the coursework is somewhat lacking in terms of practical integration into the working world. Courses like “Business Strategy and Business Planning,” “Markets and Financial Instruments,” “Marketing,” and “E-business” are really too theoretical.
Ultimately, I think the university’s main issue is the lack of an effective career service. Placement opportunities are quite limited unless you are planning to work in marketing or accounting.
