My time at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice was an unforgettable blend of classic Venetian charm and modern academic life. Based mainly at the San Giobbe campus, I fell into a great rhythm with the daily routine of studying right by the water. At the same time, I was completely captivated by the university’s historical spaces; attending lectures in the old buildings and grand Aulas Magnas felt like stepping back in time and added a unique layer of magic to the whole experience.

I really enjoyed the overall class format, though the contrast in teaching styles across different study levels was one of the most surprising aspects of my stay. The Master’s degree professors were exceptional—engaging, innovative, and forward-thinking in their approach. On the flip side, the undergraduate courses felt a bit more archaic, particularly in how the professors delivered lectures and evaluated exams, leaning heavily on traditional methods. Despite those stark differences, navigating both worlds gave me a well-rounded perspective on the Italian university system and made my exchange in Venice truly special.
