I attend Bocconi University in Milan, which is one of the leading universities for management in Europe and the world. The program I chose is management and economics for arts, culture and communication. Due to my artistic side, I really appreciate the extra subjects we have apart from the “classic” management program. For instance, we have the philosophy of art where many books are read and analysed. The professors are good, however, some of them struggle a bit with English due to their Italian origin. Apart from that, the university is very well organised and professional, hence, it is easy to obtain information or help whenever required. The students are international, but of which a big fraction is Italian. There is a lot to study and to prepare for an exam, hard work is needed. In order to have average grades, you don’t need that much effort. However, to have top grades a LOT of studying is needed. Furthermore, Milan is a great city to live. It was a bit expensive but worth it. I recommend Bocconi to anyone who is willing to work hard, but also have an extraordinary university life!
