UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School offers a wide range of Postgraduate programs, among which are Masters and Part-Time Masters courses as well as MBA, Executive Development and PhD/MPhil programs. All programs are designed to prepare students to become the business leaders of the future.
Masters programs allow students to specialize in an area of their choice, which helps them develop the specific skills and knowledge required for the career they wish to pursue. There are Masters courses in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing and Management Information Systems. Part-Time Masters courses can be taught on weekends or in the evenings but there are certain courses that are delivered during working days and therefore, require cooperation from students’ employers.
The completion of the Smurfit MBA program results in students getting an international qualification. There are two MBA programs offered by UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School – a Full-Time MBA completed within 12 months and an Executive MBA, which lasts for 24 months. The Full-Time MBA is designed for professionals who are willing to take time out from their careers and dedicate their efforts fully to their studies. The Executive MBA provides professionals with the flexibility to maintain their work while studying for a degree.
The Executive Development programs offered by the School include short courses and industry programs as well as 12 specialist diplomas and 2 MSc pathway programs.
UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School also provides students with the opportunity to enroll in a range of Business Masters courses even if they don’t have a degree in business.
Campus & Student Life
UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School students have the opportunity to study, relax and socialize in a wonderful campus environment in Blackrock, Ireland. Blackrock is a seaside town located 10km south of Dublin City Center.
The campus has a modern library containing a wide range of academic resources such as e-books, e-journals and databases, which students can access both on and off-campus. Teaching facilities include lecture theatres, seminar rooms, collaborative rooms and a financial data room, all of which are equipped with the latest audiovisual technology. The campus also includes 12 bookable rooms where students can do their group-work, a student common room designed for both group and individual study, a social area, meeting rooms and a lot more. There are different food and drink options on campus as well.
UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School boasts more than 70 student clubs and societies as well as different opportunities for students to play their favourite sport regardless of their level. The UCD Belfield campus is where the sports centre of the School is located. It contains a wide range of sports facilities such as a gym, tennis courts, rugby and soccer pitches, indoor sports halls and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
