Trinity is an overall outstanding university with some of the greatest facilities in the world – but a few fixes would make it the best college for student experience in the world.
Firstly the weekly hours for some courses. Quite often a course will be exposed to just one lecture/tutorial per day even in full time courses. This means that travelling students have to stay an extra night or come all the way in for one hour of work. The timetables can be quite poorly planned, with some days being extremely busy, and other days with just one or two lectures with a large gap in between.
Another criticism of trinity is the lack of a relaxed and non crowded area on campus to chill out. Often times when the weather is poor, students are forced to smaller cramped areas around the perch and buttery, with many students not being afforded a seat. If students then decide to go elsewhere like the areas upstairs in the arts block, conversations are discouraged for noise even at the most basic level.
Another slight criticism would be that often Lecturers do not work in tangent with TAs or tutorial leaders. This leads to a gap in learning and means that the lecturers message and their learning objectives are not met.
