There are over 11,000 students attending NUIM – around 10,000 are undergraduates while the remaining portion is made up of postgraduate students and researchers. The student body is also very diverse, with approximately 90 countries represented across the group.Show more

View moreMaynooth university is good for student life. The large campus , student bar and pubs beside it make the college feel alot different then other colleges in Ireland.
However lecturers are not the most supportive , they don’t want to be emailed and they just read PowerPoints. You are certainly just a number.
The timetables have huge gaps between classes. For example you can have one class at 11am and no class til 4pm. With very little seating space on campus to sit and wait in between.
I do feel like those living on campus are prioritised. Lecturers will cancel classes 20 minutes before they begin which means they waste a journey.

Flexible learning options, like tailored coursework and hybrid seminars, let me balance research and teaching seamlessly.
View moreThe National University of Ireland Maynooth (NUIM) offers a strong foundation in computer science, with modern facilities and a focus on emerging technologies like AI, data science, and cybersecurity. The faculty is experienced, and the small campus fosters a sense of community. My challenge is that the course structure could be more flexible.
