Galway is a magical place to study, and the university is at the heart of it all. The campus is compact but full of character, with the River Corrib running through it. One of my favorite spots is the Quadrangle, a historic building that feels like stepping into Hogwarts. The student life here is vibrant, with plenty of pubs and live music venues nearby. I’ve made lifelong friends at the weekly trad sessions in the King’s Head. Academically, the university encourages independent thinking, and I’ve had the freedom to explore interdisciplinary topics. For example, I combined my psychology studies with a module on Irish folklore, which was fascinating. The only downside is the weather—it rains a lot, but you get used to it.
