Delhi University is a brand in itself. It offers immense opportunities for personal and academic growth from experienced faculty to vibrant clubs, societies, fests, competitions, and community-based initiatives. Students can build strong networks, explore interests, and even access impressive placements depending on their course.

However, with the introduction of the NEP, the experience also has its challenges. Frequent class cancellations, strict mandatory attendance, and the added load of VAC, SEC, and AEC courses create a heavy academic burden. In some colleges, political activities further complicate the environment. Altogether, these factors often leave students with very little time for other engagements, affecting their work–life balance..

My overall experience at the University of Delhi has been fairly positive. I have always aspired to be part of this institution, as it is one of the most renowned universities in India. The syllabus and course structure can be challenging at times, but manageable. As is the case with most universities, some faculty members are highly motivating, while others seem less engaged in their teaching responsibilities. The student body is generally quite decent.
However, one aspect that does bother me is the environmental situation. Delhi has been ranked as one of the most polluted cities in the world, and this significantly affects my experience as a student.

When I first visited it, it was a great cultural shift for me. Being a man of countryside, the modernity and boldness of it,was a bit hard for me to digest. Yet spending almost 3 years now make me realise how necessary it was for someone like me to enhance my mindset, confidence and overall personality. DU make you to experience all sort of life scenarios which you will, for sure,encounter in later life. Apart from academics, about which i’ll talk some other time,DU will shape you, make you prepare for the society, it’s diverse experience and lots of exposure with opportunity will make your hesitation and shyness vanish like it was never there. I highly recommend it for someone who is even a bit hesitant or lacks confidence. Because I don’t think here in India you get many academic centres with such diversity or even opportunity to get into one.

The Delhi university is known for having students from across the country, coming from all backgrounds to make a career of their own. It’s a free space for students to explore their talents and make something of it, the university offers almost all programs available in the county and every student eligible in academics, sports and so, May get admission and enhance their skills.
The environment all around is that of working on your future goals and ways to get better results. The competition motivates the students to do the best the can, and excel in all they do. The professors are cooperative and understanding and the campus is full of beauty along with the right space for studies.
