View moreThe students are okay, teachers are very average in terms of teaching pattern.. the college as a whole and even university as a whole are so average that you might grow .. so if u plan to come here make sure u have some solid reason or plan by your side.
View moreThe most interesting thing about my subject is its practical use outside the classroom. I love studying about environments and various phenomenon which are interrelated but at the same time, some teacher makes the subject bit too much theoretical which is not good overall I would say I like the environment and lastly, in my opinion, more improvement is needed in teaching style.
View moreMy University is really great and amazing….it offers a wide range of subjects to be studied and the content is also really good. The kind of practical approach with which we are getting taught is incomparable.
View moreLove the course faculty and the way they teach the subject. Talking about the campus the campus is not good. The campus is not big as compared to another college of Delhi University, moreover, the study matter and the study is up to the mark.
View moreBcom hons is a good program under University of Delhi. There are multiple subjects from different domains for students to choose. In this way, one can find the subject they are good in and can pursue it in their life further.
One thing that lags is exposure to new subjects. For example, SWOT and PESTEL analysis are good topics for one to know and is useful even in the future. But, these are from the 1900s. Now, different other methods have been made. The university should try to focus on that as well. Also, it should try to simulate critical thinking in the minds of the students. Only mugging up concepts is not going to do the students any good.
Last but not least, the university has a skill enhancement course that one has to select for two semesters. The way those skills are taught are not at all applicable to the real world. One still needs to do courses from Udemy and such sites to learn the real life application of those skills.
Thus, I would like to conclude by saying that even though the intention of the university behind providing these courses are quite good, there implementation might not be. Also, there are a lot of other factors that need to be added. For example, in personal finance and digital marketing they can invite the industry leaders as guest lecturers.
I hope in future they understand this. Anyway, I am someone who believes that you need practical experience to learn skills. To become a digital marketer, or to manage your finances, you need to step out of your comfort zone and start doing things in real life. No university education can ever be at par with this.
View moreGreat, learnt a lot of new aspects of history, learnt about ancient, medieval and modern history. Great people, great professors who are willing to teach and give their best so that we have the best of the college experience.
View moreYou will learn new things. If you are keen into politics this is a place for you. A perfect amalgamation of fun, learning and living to the fullest. However, the administration can sometimes be rigid and slow so you will have to bear few anomalies of the DU administrative processes.
View moreDelhi university is competitive and has an extremely hardworking lot of kids coming from all over the country. The intake and access to the university are pretty good. Though lacking in technology, the university makes up in that area with staff of accomplished faculty. The exposure within the university varies from one to another.
There are major administrative issues within the university also accompanied by empty classrooms that are left without teachers for days.
Delhi University doesn’t offer a lot of opportunities when it comes to humanities courses in terms of career prospects and the syllabus is quite redundant. The professors are excellent and approachable but there is not a lot of scope to pursue academia outside the syllabus. The societies, on the other hand, are quite a handful and offer a lot to learn in terms of extracurricular activities and help in personality building.
