Being a student at this college in the Bannerghatta campus, I have come to a realisation that this college has just a over hyped image in India. They say it’s a top college for business management but in 3 years I haven’t learnt anything of value that’s going to make me ready to face the real corporate world. The syllabus is way outdated and has no significance in the current generation. Even the professors themselves don’t have any practical knowledge of their subjects. They just mug up the presentation slides which have been used for years and present the same thing in class. And most of the professors and top-level management have got attitude and ego issue. You simply can’t have a reasonable debate. Only a few teachers are really appreciated here by the students because of their teaching methods but these teachers don’t stay for long since they themselves are fed up of the system. Although the infrastructure is quite above standards especially in the Bannerghatta campus. It’s really clean and hygienic. But this campus doesn’t have a playground. Just a narrow area with 2 basketball poles. If you are a talented person in sports, it’s highly advised for you not to join this college since they make a lot of fuss later for taking part in sports activities when it comes to your attendance. They don’t really care how good you might be at a particular field. All they care is you maintaining 85% attendance. So basically this college doesn’t support much of extracurricular activities. And the students have to spend 8 hours of their day at the college. You have to stay in the college for 8 hours whether you like it or not, whether your time is being used productively or not. The only college life a student can enjoy is outside of the campus. So this college is for those people who are ready to become a slave to the corporate world who can keep their mouth shut about the system.
One thing I really appreciate about this college is that they have zero tolerance towards bullying and racism. Strict action is taken towards violators.
