The university has an amazing campus with beautiful infrastructural buildings. It has more so many programs well desired by the international students. Social Work in Health Care is a program where most of the students from social science and medical background get admitted. The degree is provided in English. The coordinator and administration bodies are so friendly to the students. The professor are alsó so cordial. But the efficiency of the lectures and exams should still be improved. Exams and evaluation systems should be more efficient. But this is a potenciál program for the upcoming students.

The social work programme is very informative with enthusiastic teachers that are interested in the academic and social development of the students.
Basically, the programme is more for international students, thus, students are enlightened from different cultural backgrounds.

The class is interesting however, unnecessary long lectures. Less practical side even though social work is all about practice. Unfortunately Less focus on the research area and more focus on direct lectures. We have the best coordinator and amazing experienced lecturers.
No Hungarians in our programme, therefore, it is difficult to make friends and indulge in the culture more.

Although the Faculty is located in a small city named Nyiregyhaza with fewer facilities, international friends and good people around always provoke the learning interest. The classes are long with depth discussions that need active participation, and teachers are absolutely amazing. I can guarantee that you will find the best Coordinator in your life. Nevertheless, you will need Hungarian language skills to build your networks with industry personnel. Overall, it is a great Master’s program for the social worker and those who become medical social workers.

The University of Debrecen is well known as the best international student-friendly educational institution in Hungary. Among more than 80 programs offered by this university, MSc in Social Work in Health care is one of the top-rated programs chosen by prospective international students. The course content of this program is well designed and mainly based on practice (64% of the total coursework). The teachers and administration bodies are so friendly with the students and ready to provide all sorts of support to the students. However, apart from curriculum design, this program highly lacks efficient teaching quality. The majority of the teachers are not proficient enough in English which makes the lectures difficult to understand and boring to concentrate on. Besides, individual classes are too long (3-7 hours) to stay focused as it creates a monotonous environment. Examination and evaluation system is also less efficient to test students’ knowledge of the courses. It leads students to stay indifferent to the classes and coursework. The program has better career prospects in the USA, Canada, and the UK in comparison to other European countries and Hungary itself. Therefore, if the teaching quality and evaluation system could be improved, this program would be in its best form to attract more national and international students.
