The Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Athens was a very ideal place for studies! I can say that there is always someone nearby to help with either personal issues or IT skills. I think the best aspect of my university experience so far is the academic staff. The facilities are up to date and modern and are really easy to use and access. One important thing is that it is really accessible for disabled people with ramps throughout the campus and disabled toilets. The University is also amazing at providing support, even to the students themselves – there is always someone to talk to. The lessons are really interesting, but the level is advanced. It prepares you more than adequately for the job market and for an academic career as well. Most courses are very demanding and require a lot of time and study but the result is worth it. I really like being in the labs, it is very good to gain experience, so that we feel prepared when we leave. The only problem with the campus is that there are some areas on your street that are dim or not lit at all during the night.
