A Management degree builds a strong foundation in a wide variety of fields including business, finance, economics and marketing. It develops students’ understanding of business practices, structures, business theory, business strategy and research as well as global economies and financial markets. Doing a Management Degree also allows students to gain skills that enable them to work with financial and numerical data effectively.
Management degrees cover different managerial roles, such as Human Resource (HR) management, hospitality management, innovation management, operations management, etc. They can be specialized into one of the areas mentioned above or follow a more general approach that covers most of these areas.
The range of management degrees is huge and includes Business Management, Management, Marketing Management, etc. They are predominantly offered in the business departments/business schools/management schools of different universities.
One of the main benefits of this degree is that Management is a broad discipline, which keeps students’ career options open.
Management degrees could have a very practical focus, which is an opportunity for students to gain experience in the process of completing their degree before having started their professional careers. Management courses usually offer work placements and practical modules, which include business simulations and business creation in a simulated environment. Acquiring practical experience through these opportunities could make students stand out from the crowd in the job market once they graduate. Research-oriented Management degrees also exist for those who prefer the theoretical aspects of such a degree. Most courses, however, have established a good balance between theory and practice in order to meet the needs of all students.
Management degrees also prepare students to serve the managerial role across a wide range of areas, including HR management, hospitality management, innovation management, operations management, etc. Students can specialize in one particular area or focus on gaining knowledge across all of these areas thanks to the high availability of different management courses.
Additionally, there is a high demand for management professionals in the contemporary business world. Therefore, taking a management course is an opportunity for students to kick-start their careers and occupy a higher position in the organizational hierarchy.
Management courses usually begin by introducing students to different areas covered by the managerial role, such as organizational management, business environment, statistics, accounting and finance, business growth, etc. After the first year, institutions allow students to explore the management discipline into more depth by delivering specialized modules and offering optional modules, which enable students to choose subjects that interest them the most and are most relevant to their career aspirations.
Management degrees take 3 years to complete in the UK. However, their duration could extend to 4 years if students choose to spend a year in industry between their second and third year, which is a popular option among the student community. Setting placement opportunities apart, the duration of a Management degree depends on three main factors – country, mode of study (part-time or full-time) and degree level. Below are listed the approximate durations of Management degrees in the most popular countries for Higher Education in Europe:
This university was a clear and obvious example of financial exploitation under the guise of “education”. I enjoyed my professors and lectures so I will give it two stars, but every other aspect of the school was frustrating and discouraging. You’ll be about 40 minutes away from anything that you want to do. I spent a study abroad here and they were more than happy to keep international students in the dark about the complete picture of their university: it will be expensive and boring. The school staff are the unfriendliest Greeks I met in my months abroad- a truly impressive feat.

The teachers were good and most of them cared about you and liked what they were doing. One thing I would change is the ability to have a variety of different hours to choose from when you are selecting a course
View moreIn my experience these past years studying at the American College of Greece, the facilities are great, the professors overall can be great and helpful with a few exceptions, and the other students are mostly friendly and it’s nice to be able to meet people from other countries and learn about there cultures. There are a lot of extra-curriculum activities that someone can do for free if there is time in their schedule and a lot of lectures and seminars are also given for free for people to attend. There is a problem with the transportation since the campus is far from the metro and sometimes the busses can be late and lastly even though there are options for food and beverages there are a little bit expensive. Overall it is a great university that gives its student a lot of opportunities to learn, meet new people, start new hobbies and also travel to new locations.
View moreStarting from the general and moving on to the specific I will have to mention some things about the American college of Greece. The College is an excellent institute, perhaps the best in Greece in terms of organization and efficiency. A college that offers you as important supplies of education and professional orientation as a huge amount of sports activities as well as cultural activities.
Approximately 90% of the professors hold a doctorate and most of them participate in research and publication of important articles. In my five years of studying, I did not encounter anything negative that I could mention. Student life in college beyond classes can offer you everything you need such as sports, excursions, activities, cultural activities, travel, and more. Regarding professional aspects, I consider that the college is one of the most recognized in Greece but also in the world, with the result that a degree from The American College of Greece is considered very valuable in a CV. Speaking from personal experience, I found a full-time job in my field a year and a half before I completed my studies, and that says a lot. Speaking of my field and moving on to more specific, the sports management major I studied is a relatively new program for the college and at the same time very promising one. The courses that are given are excellent as well as the teachers who deliver them and cover a huge range of sports management in the workplace. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to study at the American College of Greece and try to take advantage of every opportunity the college gives him.
The American College of Greece is a great college to study from many different aspects. The facilities are excellent and student life is very good. It lacks from the aspect of organization of operations and the academic level could be better. But overall my experience as a student was good.

It has strong connections to the market, it constantly provides opportunities for development, improvement, networking. It has a council to support you with your CV if you need it, you have your private counsellor if you need any help with your future and everyone is very willing to support you in your steps.
They have different partners, companies, universities (in Europe and in the US), other organizations and they are trying to create well-rounded students with many different experiences.
Moreover, it provides quite many international opportunities. They have a high percentage of international students and through their collaborations, they make it easy for Greek Students to get exposed to international experiences.
Their campus is very modern, one could say that there is nothing missing from their buildings. Pool, gym, stadiums, stock market simulation room etc
The truth is that the fee can be quite high but they are offering many opportunities for full and half scholarships.
When it comes to the Academic Part, in my experience one could say that it’s quite low. The classes have a maximum 15 students and the professor is very willing to make interactive lectures but the pure “knowledge” part is not reached. Also, the exams are quite easy,
