I am reading materials science and engineering at the University of Ghana. It is one of the courses offered by few universities in Ghana. Materials science and engineering provide a lot of career opportunities for students who are willing to be in the metal industry, ceramic industry, and polymer industry. This shows that the process of extraction of these materials is taught. How to process these materials and how to modify them for the usage of the society are taught. It is practical and more engaging since whatever is taught can be related easily within the society. UG provide students in this field with the best of facilities and also offer opportunities for students to be prepared for the industrial world. The student-teacher ratio is quite okay therefore, there is good interaction between the student and teacher. Campus life is always good and security issues are well handled.
To be a materials science engineer, UG is the best place to prepare you.
