This is the best University in Ghana interms of structures, teaching Curricular, and many others. Teachers are very friendly and very open to students. They are always ready to help students. The campus is very serene for studies and you will mostly see students under summer hut in groups working on their assignment or group work.

My university is a public university in the city of Ghana. It was a good university although had its bad sides.
I was studying psychology and Arabic and I just say I had the best Arabic lecturers.
It was definitely a learning experience schooling there, with all the friendship up and downs, the stress with exams etc
But all in all, the experience was good.

University of Ghana has been a great institution of learning, producing great leaders and talents. I like the architecture of the institution and the feet it has gained over the years worldwide as well as the programmes being offered however a critical look has to be taken at the courses offered within each rogram as some are outdated and new areas or subjects of learning can be introduced. A more practical approach at what is taught within the Arts will also go a long way to help.

The lecturers are very approachable. The courses, although tasking and demanding, are very interesting. The students also give the university a whole different vibe which is unique and fun to be a part of.

UG is the best university in Ghana. Is a discourse community which offer i wide range of University courses which enlighten student along side the course they read. Also entails a state of the art medical school brings out the big brains in the country.

University of Ghana is really nice,conducive learning environment. The lecturers do their very best. The online lectures are convenient as well.Just that the international students fees are really overpriced and the hostel fees too.

I pursued my BA in Sociology at UG and the program was great! UG has required courses such as Academic Writing, Science and technology, and Numeracy Skills that supplemented my main program. These courses equipped with me sharp writing skills but also opened my mind to efficiently engage in my sociology program. There are many groups on campus that provide students with practical experience. Student groups provide peer counselling, advocate for sexual human rights, and organize educational trips, among others. These experiences spice up student lives on Campus and they broaden your scope beyond the classroom knowledge.
However, there is one thing that can be done to improve the student experience at UG. There is not much engagement between lecturers and students. What I mean is that there seems to be a big gap between students and lecturers such that most students are unable to reach out to them. I think there should be departmental informal socialization once a week where students and lecturers can sit to chat informally and maybe have some finger foods and drinks. This can break the barrier between students and lecturers.

I liked how diverse the classes were as they made shared opinions richer. I was lucky to have professors who were genuinely interested in my progress. Campus life gave me a whole new outlook on different personalities and how everyone’s experience was uniquely constructed. Leaving school and joining the work pool, I noticed the combination of courses offered to prospective students (which we had little or no control over) limited job prospects or options because, in one way or the other, we lacked the technical or practical know-how needed to compete in an increasingly technical global market.

Classes were interactive and somewhat crowded at times. Social life on campus is quite exciting with different restaurants, shops and hangout spots. The school has close proximity to a mall and a police station so security is top notch.

The course is an interesting one and quite relatable. However, the job market after in the country is not too encouraging. In my own opinion, I would say before the social work profession started gaining its popularity, the chiefs, queen mothers and the family system seemed to have been addressing some of the issues that social workers are being trained to understand and help in solving. Due to the former, the growth of the profession has been slow.
