University of Ghana have provided me with a solid foundation for both academic and practical experiences. I’ve gained skills in Political Science and Arabic, along with relevant courses that have clearly prepared ME for real-world applications.
View moreMy opinion about this university is that, the university is very dynamic and accommodating. They have flexible programmes and courses as well as lecture schedules that makes it easier for everyone to acquire education.
Their professors are very intelligent; and friendly, easy to approach when you need further assistance and explanations concerning lecture topics.
The university of Ghana is said to be the premier university of the country. The school keeps winning notable awards for the taking the lead in global research and innovation for the sub-Saharan. One would think that as a result the university’s staff and faculty would be amongst the best there is but there is a flaw. I found myself at the college of humanities under the business school studying public administration.
In my first year, I experienced something I later came to term “the recklessness of some lecturers”. Some lecturers at the school would have no lecture notes prepared and would decide to come and swing at it in class leaving some students confused and at the end of the class would have gathered nothing. At the beginning of every semester, the students at the business school almost always receive their schedules at the last minute to prepare or get acquainted with their schedules. This has been one for the books as it causes lots of confusion amongst students and faculty during the first week back at school.
There’s more to be done at the university of Ghana especially under the college of humanities.
View moreThe University of Ghana is efficiently managed and structured. There are usually plenty of breaks between lectures and tutorial sessions for each course and program. The lecturers are highly conscientious and show up to every class. However, they registered more students than the facility could accommodate, which resulted in lecture hall overcrowding.
View moreGood lecturing systems. Clear sound, good lectures and students have access to educational tools. Though most of the lecturings are theory, they make a practical impact. Hence, increases the chance of professionalism. The University of Ghana is the best.
