The university lives up to its name. I fully recommend it because aside from its obvious academic strengths – here at UG lecturers not only lecture, they teach – the social life of the school prepares students for the outside world. This and many more is why I can boldly state that at the end of the degree you choose to pursue, you’d graduate a well rounded individual.

Honestly, I’m not done with school so I don’t know if I can say anything useful. But from my experience so far,I would say that life in the University isn’t all roses and colourful. As much as it is interesting, it is also very stressful. But working hard can help you through it all.

Getting admitted was not difficult because I was present at the time. And when COVID hit, they tried their best to change their teaching strategy.
As an international student, I didn’t get to experience a graduation party, but I did have a wonderful experience.

The University of Ghana, located in Legon, is one of the premier institutions of higher education in West Africa. The campus is expansive and beautifully landscaped, providing a serene environment conducive to learning and research.

The university offers a diverse range of programs across various disciplines, and its faculty members are generally well-regarded for their expertise and commitment to teaching. The academic curriculum is robust, and there are numerous opportunities for research, particularly in fields such as social sciences, humanities, and health.

Student life is vibrant, with a variety of clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities that foster community and engagement. The cultural diversity of the student body enriches the overall experience, allowing for the exchange of ideas and perspectives.

While some facilities may show signs of wear, ongoing improvements and investments are being made to enhance the learning environment. Libraries are well-stocked, though sometimes crowded, and access to online resources has improved significantly.

Like many institutions, the University of Ghana faces challenges, including bureaucratic inefficiencies and occasional strikes that can disrupt academic schedules. However, the administration is often responsive to student feedback.

Overall, the University of Ghana offers a solid education with a strong sense of community. It is an excellent choice for students seeking a comprehensive university experience in a culturally rich environment.

This university is great, I love the fact that candidates are given the opportunity to voice out reviews of theirs and that of other schools. And I would very much appreciate it if I’m given the chance to guide others in this journey.

University of Ghana has set it marks up over the years,when it comes to quality tertiary education in the country.I personally laud them for the alumni – student relationship that exist in the school digital society and on campus.I would also laud them for their innovative ideas on bringing about solutions to most of the problems of the student body by liaison with the student leaders, which brings about adequate solutions to our problems.
Aside some issues of incapacitation in the hostels and other student facilities, University of Ghana stands out among it’s competitor universities .

As a graduate of the University of Ghana I must say the experience has been pretty challenging and interesting. From making amazing connections with mates and lecturers, to the formidable knowledge transmission. The student life and culture is amazing with a large campus with a lot to explore. The independence of UG is amazing, from owning their own farmlands, hospital, sporting center, market…

One challenge however the university faces is the admission numbers keeps increasing with little to no significant contribution towards the expansion of the facilities thus creating congestion.

The university is the home for many foreign students in the diaspora. The university has programs for the international students with minimal tuition fees. I would humbly recommend students from all works of life to attend the university

The university of Ghana, Legon is one of the biggest university in the country and it is situated in the heart of Accra. University of Ghana has some of the best facilities which helps in the teaching and learning. The environment is so beautiful with modern structures

Life on the Annex Campus of the University of Ghana, Accra City Campus was quiet challenging, especially when students would have to commute from the main campus to write exams or partake in a lecture. If the school secured a place in close proximity so that those who were posted to Accra city campus will not have to go through the hustle of everyday avoiding a two hours traffic jam just so they are not late or miss an educational session I believe it will reduce student stress and allow us focus. For me it was a very huge challenge and I never got the hang of it.
