The University Of Ghana is often known to be a premier institution in Ghana. I like that it’s known for it’s good academics, strong reputation and at the same time still challenges students into becoming the best of themselves. Nevertheless, there are just two things I dislike about it. First of all some of the hostels in the university are over-priced and secondly students still fill up those hostel with some left without accomodation. Despite all of this, what stood out for me is it’s serene environment and approacheable lecturers. I will confidently recommend the University Of Ghana to anyone planning on enrolling.

The University of Ghana is generally a good school and arguably the best university in Ghana. It has more arts and business-related courses than Science and Engineering courses. It has a stunning campus filled with diverse groups of people from all over the world, and not Ghana alone.
The only thing I disliked about the school during my time there was because of the appalling professor-to-student ratio, which was around 1:200. The school is also understaffed, and it puts a burden on the teaching staff to work twice as hard.
But I definitely recommend it if you want to study in Africa

University of Ghana offers a strong academic foundation and a vibrant student experience.There are numerous clubs, student organizations and events that makes campus life exciting. Nevertheless, Off-campus accomodation can be very expensive. Regardless, I would really recommend it for any student in Ghana or abroad looking for a wonderful place of studies.

Both professional and personal development have benefited greatly from the curriculum. The curriculum covers a wide range of pertinent subjects and is thorough and well-structured. The competent and helpful instructors provide an atmosphere that promotes critical thinking and real-world application. Overall, it has been a good and rewarding experience, while there is space for growth in terms of practical experiences and networking opportunities.

I graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Ghana, and I can confidently say the educational standards are outstanding. The faculty consists of some of the brightest minds, many of whom contribute significantly to academia by publishing extensively in high-ranking journals.

Beyond academics, the university offers a vibrant social scene with numerous activities that foster a strong sense of community and belonging. It’s an environment that supports both intellectual and personal growth, making it an ideal place for holistic development.

In my opinion, my university provides a solid foundation for both academic and personal growth. The campus environment is vibrant, and there are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities. The faculty members are generally approachable and knowledgeable, and the courses are designed to challenge students while offering practical insights.

My first semester at the university was a bit challenging for me because I didn’t know how to get the informationd I wanted or the vast resources that the university offered and I didn’t have any friends. But around my second year, everything fell into place. The lecturers are very welcoming and I have a close relationship with most of my lecturers. The school’s library feels like a second home (my friends also tease me about how much time I spend in it) but the library has everything I need as a student and I love how welcoming the librarians are. I never imagined that learning could be fun and this has made it feel that way for me. I will totally recommend this school for everyone. I will say that the only mishap is the slight hostility of the local indigenes towards foreign students but they don’t go out of their way to be mean.
