My experience at Ashesi University has been transformative both academically and personally. The university’s emphasis on ethical leadership and problem-solving shaped the way I approach challenges inside and outside the classroom. Courses are rigorous and encourage critical thinking, while projects and group work prepare you for real-world applications.
What I value most is the supportive community. Professors are approachable and invested in students’ growth, and peers are collaborative rather than competitive. The campus culture is diverse and inclusive, which makes learning more enriching.
The workload can be intense, and balancing academics with extracurriculars requires good time management. However, this challenge is also part of what makes Ashesi graduates resilient and adaptable.
In the end I would recommend Ashesi because it is a place where you not only earn a degree but also grow into a well-rounded professional ready to make an impact.
View moreAshesi university is one of the best universities in Africa. Coming to Ashesi for me is a dream come through. The university is one of the few universities established to educate ethical, entrepreneurial leaders in Africa.
The university has a very conducive and inclusive environment for teaching and learning. It has a very small student population. Therefore, there is effective monitoring and evaluation.
Since it is a liberal arts university, every student have to take leadership courses and courses about Africa. The university continue to build students and to make sure that the students are ready for the job market.
To recommend Ashesi to someone, yes. Because it provide opportunity personal development.
Electrical engineering at Ashesi was very practical. Every course had a lab session where we implemented the concepts we were taught in class. We were encouraged to experiment and answer our probing questions through practical investigation. My favorite course was the Internet of Things. It taught me about the new ways in which technology is being used to solve problems in the workspace. Life outside class was fun as there were a lot of fun events, especially during ASC week. I would highly recommend Ashesi to you or anyone looking for an excellent university to attend.
