Living up on the hills is one of the most amazing experiences ever. It is an ideal place to study, relax and be productive. It is one of the best things about this university besides its amazing curriculum and committed staff. I am truly having a lovely experience here. I hope that they expand on the number of programs offered as I know many more people who would have loved to take part in this experience.
View moreAshesi University is a fertile ground for harnessing skills and for subtly and profoundly nurturing and instilling vital values into young Africans. From learning the essence of service from the Outreach committee and Leo club to developing of professional skills in the CAD and Google Developers clubs, Ashesi equips students to be impactful to society in various ways.
The appreciation and consideration of diversity and inclusion in Ashesi to a long extent teach students the need to be accommodating to the differences that others have. The staff and faculty exhibit this aspect of Ashesi to a phenomenal extent, being warm, open, and ready to be of help to anyone who reaches out.
The unique and essential honor code system encourages and makes room for the propagation of integrity in the school system and the corporate world, in the long run.
The robust and active academic climate of Ashesi keeps students on our toes with a constant reminder to each student that we are responsible for our own success. With the various Academic courses such as the Leadership seminar series, Ashesi teaches students about vital values such as self-awareness and emotional intelligence, team dynamics, good interpersonal relation skills and inclusion.
One key thing about the Ashesi experience, no one might mention is that, till you put yourself out there to be involved. Many people who achieve great things in Ashesi move out and take opportunities that come their way. If you are laid back, you would not achieve anything. A laid-back person is not the type of leader Ashesi seeks to raise.
View moreMIS is a great major that runs at Ashesi University. I like how students who pursue this course have the best of both worlds which are business administration and computer science.
I think the school can work on the surroundings of the school as we’re always seeing snakes and scorpions around. Also, the security of students off-campus. There have been cases of theft in the night and at dawn when students are retiring to their hostels after studying
The school caters for international students very well and this is a great thing
Students are introduced to internships and career opportunities by the career services and faculty in the school and this are one of the best things I love about Ashesi
It was very challenging and diverse so we learned a lot and were trained in various courses so students are very equipped for the work environment. Most lecturers were readily available for students when we needed help and we often got feedback and reviews on our work and how we could do better. Sometimes, things were challenging and it was difficult to get past some of them and get help but we mostly got help either from Lecturers, assistant lecturers, or students who understood things better.
