The university is very involved in the technical aspects of the courses offered
Campus life is simple and friendly lectures are quite important at the school and missing one can affect your studies drastically

I studied HND Building Technology at Accra Technical University, and while the program provided a solid foundation in construction theory, technical drawing, and site management, the practical exposure was quite limited. Most of the hands-on experience came from our industrial attachment with external institutions and companies, rather than within the university itself.

The lecturers were knowledgeable and supportive, and the curriculum covered key areas relevant to the construction industry. However, I believe the program would benefit from more in-house practical sessions, workshops, and access to modern equipment to better prepare students for real-world challenges.

Overall, it’s a good program for those who are self-driven and willing to seek extra experience outside the classroom. I would recommend it to students who want to build a career in construction but also encourage the university to invest more in practical training facilities.

I like the way of teaching, the school environment also understanding lecturers the only thing I dislike the timetable and our range number of student without facilities. Not enough classroom for students and furniture.

Well the school has good lectures but it need infrastructure
the school need some learning facilities like labs, chsirs and tables and more lecture halls for students
Apart from that the school is accademically good

My education in ATU was tailored to meet the requirements of today’s work environment.
I had hands on experience when it came to the contents of my coursework.
I met lots of industrious people with whom I have formed long lasting connections.
I would recommend ATU to anyone looking for an education tailored towards solving problems.

Accra Technical University is located in the Greater Accra region. The school has adequate facilities enough to ensure effective teaching and learning processes. As an HND student, getting an opportunity to work as an intern in the firm is quite easy due to the program administered on campus. The lifestyle of students is holistic. The serene environment is also a key factor here at Accra Technical University.
