Studying at the University of Cologne is an exciting experience. The university offers an impressive variety of courses, and the Faculty of Economics enjoys an excellent reputation throughout Europe. The lecturers are very competent and often bring practical insights into the lessons, which makes learning more interesting and relevant. The campus is centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. The student associations and initiatives are also a big plus – there are numerous opportunities to get involved alongside your studies and make new contacts. The international atmosphere is also remarkable, as many exchange students visit the university and enrich the diversity.
A small disadvantage is the bureaucracy, which is often complicated and time-consuming, especially when registering for courses. The buildings could also be modernized in some places. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend the University of Cologne, especially for students who value academic quality and a lively university culture.
