Student review [#9241] for Mechanical Engineering
at RWTH Aachen University

As an engineering student I am one of many at the RWTH, which is the biggest technical university in Germany. The amount of quality knowledge created at the university and the oppertunities offered to students are amazing, making it an attractive location for people interested in various fields of study.
Although the university is one of the highest funded in all of Germany, sadly that doesn’t mean it also offers the best education.
The huge student body, in the area of engineering, results in an impersonal style of education compared to other universities. During the Bachelors Degree a rigid plan outlines the path of a mechanical engineering student, which can be followed by the traditional means of visiting lectures, but also through self-study, in case of nearly all modules.
All in all the university offers great opportunity for its graduates not least, because it is seen as the greatest mechanical engineering university in all of Germany, but at the same time requires its student to show great discipline and commitment to their studies.
