Studying IPSP at Leipzig University is demanding and requires a lot of dedication, discipline, and hard work. The courses are rigorous, and students must be ready to manage pressure and stay committed to their studies. However, this effort pays off, as the program provides excellent academic training and a solid foundation for future opportunities.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the university is its welcoming and international atmosphere. b) Limited English-Taught Courses: While the university is internationally oriented, some programs and services could have broader support for non-German speakers.
3) Would I Recommend It?
Yes, I would recommend Leipzig University, especially for students seeking a blend of academic rigor and cultural richness. The experience is particularly rewarding for those willing to immerse themselves in the vibrant city of Leipzig and the German language. With a few improvements in administrative and linguistic support, it could be an even better choice for international students.

View moreThe IPSP (International Physics Studies Program) offers a 3-years full physics course that allows you to continue speciliasing into any science-related master degree that students would like to access, which sounds like a pretty promising start. Though, the course lacks of many things… But let’s start with listing the pros:
-wide subject offer within topics of physics
-international environment
-good problem solving capacities development
-laboratory courses
-open physics rooms (homework help)
These were indeed the reasons that convinced me enrolling in the program. During the course I discovered, though, important deficiencies such as:
-poor organization within the study office
-unmotivated teachers
-language deficiencies from teachers and study office
-no care towards the students from teachers and study office
-poor organization with schedules, enrolments, exams…
Therefore, I think that my experience was quite mediocre and could have had been a lot better if they just started to care a bit more about the students’ needs!
