As ISM has been awarded unlimited state recognition by the Ministry of Innovation, Higher Education and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia, the study degrees awarded through ISM are equivalent to study degrees of public universities. ISM prides itself with a network of around 190 renowned partner universities all over the world. The international spirit of the school is reflected in its international lecturers from the business world, preparing ISM students for a global career.

Academics at ISM

The ISM study programs are designed to prepare students for the needs of the real business world. Moreover, ISM offers a personal atmosphere with small class sizes, an international environment and an interactive learning content. ISM has an excellent supervision ratio, with 1university teachers for just 7 students.

ISM’s Bachelor’s programs are distinguished by their international orientation and the mix of basic business knowledge and course-specific content. Students must combine their business studies in English with a second foreign language either German, French or Spanish.

The Master’s programs combine in-depth business knowledge with course-specific content as well as the latest topics and trends in the different industries. All courses have a strong international focus. Integrated internships, the teaching of soft skills and a personal teaching atmosphere round off the studies at ISM.

The MBA program provides comprehensive insights into all areas of management on a national and international level. Integrated modules abroad, practice-oriented lectures, mentoring and personalized counseling as well as the teaching of soft skills are an integral part of all study programmes.

Campus & Student Life

ISM has seven campuses in major German cities, such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Dortmund, Cologne or Stuttgart.

As a student in ISM, participating in clubs and sports activities is an excellent way to meet friends, practice teamwork skills and network. Sports tournaments in soccer or tennis are popular, as are the numerous student clubs, such as consulting, tourism, finance, banking or support to charitable organisations.

The International Office helps ISM students to arrange their stay abroad and looks after them while they are away. The office team assists students in finding the most appropriate partner university and they are always there to help students who are currently studying abroad.
