Goethe university is very modern and active. It is easy to approach the faculty and the administration in case of issues ( which will arise because one minus is that there is quite a lot of confusing admin to do at the start). Once you’ve gotten the hang of it you’ll be fine. There’s great opportunities to be active in student organisations, the university provides great support once the group is registered. Professors depending on the faculty are mostly easy going and approachable, it very more a study partner relation than a professor-student one. The mensas are open until 18:00 which allows you to stay late and eat cheaply in the university. There’s a library in almost every building, you will not struggle to find a quiet place to study in. Overall the university has a few flaws but the positives outweigh the negatives much much more
