I am very pleased with the education material the RWTH provides. It is an university focussed in creating highly informed and experts in the sectors of their studies. Although the types of teaching and quality of teaching is overall quite bad. Compared to other unis there are not many assignments or visualizations of the things presented in the lectures. No chance to gain practical knowledge is given and also developement of personal skills and softskills in the education are severly missing. Participating in student associations to gain the latter mentioned skills are not well supported by the university and is therefore not encouraged at all (for example giving credit points). Yes, at the end of your studies you are an expert on your field but lack personal skills.
