Participating in the ECIU Challenge “Engineering for Inclusive & Sustainable Live Music” at INSA Hauts-de-France was a truly enriching experience for me. The program combined both an online session and an in-person mobility week in Valenciennes, France, which created a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
During the challenge, I had the opportunity to collaborate with students from different backgrounds and universities within the European Consortium of Innovative Universities network. Working together on real-life challenges related to sustainability and inclusivity in live music events was both exciting and intellectually stimulating. It allowed us to apply engineering thinking to social and cultural problems, which made the experience very meaningful.
The mobility week from 23–27 June 2025 was particularly memorable. The atmosphere at the campus was welcoming, and the organizers were extremely supportive. I learned a lot not only from the workshops and discussions but also from interacting with international students and exchanging ideas.
Overall, this challenge helped me broaden my perspective on innovation, sustainability, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I am grateful to Kaunas University of Technology and INSA Hauts-de-France for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a unique and inspiring academic experience. It was a short program, but the knowledge, connections, and memories will stay with me for a long time.
