I spent in total 5 years at this university. It was a great overall experience, despite a few downsides.
First, the quality of the campus, paired with the diversity of programmes offered there provides a dynamic environment.
Nonetheless, the administration of the university, and the lack of guidance, can lead to confusion and unclear situations. It takes a few months at least to fully comprehend how the university is organized and whom to address when facing difficulties.
Regarding the courses, some can be very interesting and well delivered, while others can be more confusing and less attractive, depending on the professor.
I hated my time as an exchange student here. Accessing the portal for all the emails is difficult enough. Other than in the fete courses they don’t really care about exchange students. Teachers never respond to emails, students are closed off and don’t interact with Erasmus students. The teachers talk too fast and it’s difficult to integrate yourself. I wish I could leave sooner.
View moreNanterre’s campus is the biggest I’ve ever been, which makes it easier to socialize with strangers. It offers a lot of cursus options; whether you want to study in the science domain or arts and languages, you have a big variety of choice. On the other hand, the administration system has to be reviewed; it is very confusing.

View moreIt is a university that offers different courses, courses are complete and allow to have a good degree. However, in the last two years, there have been many blockages and demands by the students themselves. The university was not able to react quickly to the problems, which led to a lower assessment of diplomas and tighter, less secure partial passages. Pupils are therefore in poor conditions to pass semester exams. She still keeps a good reputation because many politicians have studied at this university, and student life is very rich (several events, several associations, support for foreign students …)
