Panthéon-Sorbonne University, also known as La Sorbonne and Paris 1, is a public research university in Paris, France. It was founded in 1971 as one of the main descendants of the historical University of Paris or the Sorbonne. The university was created as a consolidation of a section of the Faculty of Law and Economics: Panthéon, and a section of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities: Sorbonne.Show more
This university is one of the best in Paris and offers a wide variety of high-quality courses that prepare students for a diverse professional future. The charm of the Sorbonne also comes with the fact that some of its buildings are a bit outdated.
View moreMore focus should be given in clearing concepts from grassroots level rather than bouncing of with the idea that few of the students, who already had two-three masters, are able to understand. Also, focus should be given on the difficulty level of questions that are taught to solve in class and those which are expected to be solved during exam.
The proper way to solve and practice should be taught which is almost non existent as of now. The tutors should try to make one to one interactions with the students apart from the academics so that students can openly discuss the things in class that are not understood. Also, special attention should be given to those who feel left out in the class. The marking system of the subjects should be made uniform as well as the exam pattern for all the subjects. This causes a lot of confusions among international students. Later things should be decided based on the overall yearly records of the students rather than any particular mid-term or end-term exams. Regarding the campus life, more fun activities should be arranged and it should be made compulsory for the students to take part in at least one it because, it would be necessary for any particular student, no matter he/she/they wants it or not, to blend in with the overall culture and society of the university.
Studying at the Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne was an incredibly enriching experience, both intellectually and culturally. The courses are of high quality, with renowned professors who inspire and challenge their students. The academic environment is stimulating, and I greatly enjoyed the debates and discussions in class. The university’s location in the heart of Paris is another major asset, providing easy access to unparalleled cultural and historical resources. However, the administration can sometimes be slow and inflexible, which can be frustrating. Furthermore, the cost of living in Paris is high, which can pose financial difficulties. Despite these challenges, I highly recommend this university to those seeking a rigorous academic education in a culturally rich and dynamic setting. It is a unique experience that will leave a lasting impression.

good professors n decent programs. not great. very rushed syllabus. i’d say the professors were decent because they tried their best. administration was just bad.
View moreI am a graduate of the class of 2021 in international business. I am part of the promotion which suffered from COVID and who had to take part of the courses via Video.
My diploma was even awarded to me remotely, which lacked the charms of higher education.
Apart from that, I benefited enormously from the excellent teaching received in this renun school.
This school is recognized internationally and in all the job interviews I have had. Employers had a prestigious vision of the latter, which made my job enormously easier, to be able to choose the company I wanted, to have a good position, but therefore a good salary.
I don’t have a lot to complain about because all the difficulties we had with my promotion were due to COVID. Other than that everything was fine.
