Usually, Art and Design courses are a three-year commitment, although there are countries – like the USA – where you need to study for at least four years.
The most remarkable aspect about this degree is that it emphasises the practical knowledge. Courses are often taught in studios, as a form of workshops. Additionally, students are assessed based on their portfolios of work, which may be exhibited to the public.

StudentGreat resources but lacking in other aspectsMy program is fine arts at Parsons school of design. The school is great but the fine arts program specifically has very little space. I feel like the students that are in my program aren’t the most engaged people and unfortunately, most of the teachers are unmotivating.

I enjoy the way the semsters are organized and the first year is a foundation year is very helpful if you’re not sure what you want to study yet.
In conclusion, the school is great but you need to depend on internal motivation if you want to get the best experience. Great location in Paris and recommended for people who are hard workers and into strict academic structures similar to high school. It is not the typical “university” experience one would expect due to the small amount of students and the size of the campus, as well as many other factors.

MalinThe opportunities available because of the location. Loads of internshipsI love it so far. It’s a small strong community in the centre of Paris full of like minded creative individuals. The first year is fun whilst challenging; you really get what you give. It’s a great place to collaborate with other people and really develop creative projects. The staff are great too, but some Professors are much better than others.
