The New School is a private, non-profit research university that has its main campus in New York City. It was founded in 1919 as The New School for Social Research. The school has a campus in Paris, France. Parsons Paris is the European campus of The New School. It offers Bachelor degree programmes in Art, Media, and Technology (BFA); in Fashion Design (BFA); in Strategic Design and Management (BBA). Besides its Bachelor programmes, Master degree courses in Design and Technology (MFA); Fashion Studies (MA); History of Design and Curatorial Studies (MA): Strategic Design and Management (Global Executive, MS). The curriculum is based on the Parsons School of Design's, a well-known art and design school that was established in 1921. Students get the change to join the modern atelier while studying in Paris. Classes are held small to better prepare students for future employment in fashion, management, digital innovation, and curatorial practice. The lessons are taught in English, but French classes for beginners are offered as well. Studying at The New School presents students with the option of gaining a degree while studying in two major cities.
