Forward is really everything that it promisses. You get the international experience 3 years in 3 countries, co-living with people from all over the world, small class teaching with classes ranging between 10-20 students and the flipped classroom concept (where you are expected to learn autonomously first, and then deepen your understanding during the seminars).
The courses are designed and examined by LSE/King’s College (using the UoL international programmes system) and are indeed very demanding, with difficult exams, lots of readings, writings and exercises. But we recieve close teaching by very qualified professors, and it’s different than being taught online or in a large lecture hall.
Academic excelence is definitely something you can expect.
There are a few things which are disorganized, and have to be improved like the Business and Leadership programmes, visa procedures, callendar dates, etc… but the way I see it is that the College is still quite new and they are still making the final changes. I hope and I sincerely think that a lot will be improved in the coming years.
One thing that I can say is that everyone on Forward seems to be working very hard to improve the university and to give us the best experience they can. All of the staff is great.
They also do a good job filtering the students during admissions, if you’re coming to forward you can expect to study among very intelligent and internationally-minded people, who are also engaged and achieved great things extra-curricularly. The campuses are small (big enough to hold our 64 people cohort, but not much more than that), but awesome! We have access to a meditation room, free coffee and tea, a coworking space, all that well localized in the center of the city!
So yeah, I wish they were a bit more organized, but overall it has been a great experience so far.
