As an international student from Taiwan, currently studying Digital Marketing & Data Science at Emlyon Business School’s Paris campus, my experience has been both challenging and rewarding.
1. Academics & Curriculum
The program is highly data-driven, integrating real-world marketing strategies with technical skills like Python, SQL, and machine learning. Professors bring industry expertise and often collaborate with companies, making classes interactive and practical.
2. Campus & Student Life
The Paris campus is a great location for networking, surrounded by top companies and start-up ecosystems. There are plenty of career events, hackathons, and networking opportunities, which have helped me connect with professionals in my field.
3. International Student Experience
Coming from Taiwan, Emlyon provides a diverse and global environment. The school supports international students well, but navigating administrative processes (like visas and housing) can sometimes be challenging. However, the student community is welcoming, and there are many activities and student initiatives to engage with.
4. Overall Impression
I think Emlyon is a great choice for students looking for an innovative, hands-on learning experience in business and technology. While some courses could benefit from even more structure, the real-world projects, industry collaborations, and international environment make it a strong business school for aspiring digital professionals.
Likes:
abundant resources
the network of alumni is really healpful
wonderful location (center Paris)
a lot of interesting lectures and company visits
the school opens until 2200, great for studying
Dislike:
not enough spaces to study
some study rooms are toooooo cold
some classrooms have limited access to charge and the air is stagnant
Courses are practical, and the program is intensive. We have so many tasks need to fulfill. I love the school provide many career and alumni resources. And also give us many opportunities to approach to different fields.
View moreMy overall opinion of Emlyon Business School is very positive. It is a well-established and respected institution in France, consistently ranked among the top business schools in Europe, offering a high-quality education. What I appreciate most about Emlyon is its strong international focus, providing students with global exposure. The innovative and contemporary schedule is another standout feature, allowing for a dynamic and flexible learning experience. Most importantly, the school’s emphasis on preparing students for successful international careers is something that truly sets it apart. However, having been an Emlyon student for six months now, I’ve also noticed a few areas for improvement. For instance, the Paris campus is quite small and lacks dedicated shared spaces where students can collaborate or relax. Another aspect that could be enhanced is the administration of the programs. Occasionally, there are moments where the organization could be more streamlined, which sometimes leads to minor confusion.
Despite a few areas for improvement, I would still highly recommend Emlyon Business School. The quality of education, global exposure, and opportunities for growth definitely make it a valuable experience.
My experience at emlyon business school has been generally positive. The school offers a wide range of career forums and networking events, which provide valuable job opportunities and allow us to connect with professionals from prestigious companies. These events have helped me gain industry insights and expand my professional network.
However, the Paris campus could be improved in terms of infrastructure. It is relatively compact, and at times it can be difficult to find an available classroom or a seat in the library, especially during peak study periods.
For prospective students considering the Digital Marketing
View moreI think the DMDS program at emlyon Business School has a lot of potential, but it also has its challenges. What I really liked was the hands-on approach—working on real projects with companies made the learning experience feel practical and relevant. Some professors were truly inspiring, bringing industry insights that made classes engaging. However, I sometimes felt that the structure of certain courses was a bit unorganized, and the balance between technical and business aspects wasn’t always consistent. Career support and networking opportunities are there, but I wish they were even stronger. Overall, I’d say it’s a great program if you’re proactive and ready to navigate some of the gaps on your own.
View moreInternational, still very French, English courses could be better. Professor are real world professionals so that helps with case studies and keeping the class relevant. The management can be much bettter.
View moreFor emlyon business school in Paris campus, the course load is pretty fair and it’s practical. However, some courses are repetitive and the management is not that organized. Personally I would recommend students study in Lyon campus instead of paris
View moreSome professors were nice and tried to teach things in a structured and clear way. However, some professors seemed a bit off during the sessions. If you are looking for a more technical or in depth theory, you probably won’t get it.
