I think the DMDS (Data Management and Digital Strategy) program at emlyon Business School has a lot to offer it, but also some areas that need improvement. First of all, I appreciate the school’s emphasis on practice-orientedness, especially the exposure to real company projects, which gives us the opportunity to combine data science with business strategy. The industry experience and lectures of some professors are very inspiring.
However, I felt that the course structure was sometimes not systematic enough, and the depth and quality of some class content depended on the professors who taught the class. Furthermore, the balance between technical and commercial aspects is not stable enough and sometimes feels biased towards one side. Although there are certain corporate collaborations and alumni resources, there is still room for improvement in career support.
In general, this is a course suitable for those who want to combine technology with business, but you need to be self-driven to get the most out of it.
